This will save other people who might need to work on your design and product form second guessing your design choices and making it easier for them to reconsider the requirements or technology when the design of the former product changes.

Documenting Complex Tasks: Tasks like encoding/encryption schemes, algorithms and language grammars used in the project should be documented as well. If you are using export or import tools like CSV, JSON or XML, it is better and good to document the grammar used in the application import or export tools. It will be helpful to say things about the semantics and the buildup of your specific uses of the tools in the application.
Developers and the Technical Environment: Document everything that any developers that will co-work on the project with you. Developer needs to know about the technical environment for the application, such as the software needed to use to build it, places where such software can find the software. Checks to know if the software is licensed or not.
Commenting: During your course of developing that software, you used many classes, methods and properties. All of them need to be commented and tools like Doxygen can make a documentation out of the comment for you to export and edit if you want.
